Ray Thal, the Redskins' longtime surgeon, is no longer with the team,
sources said, and the Redskins are looking for new local orthopedic
specialists. They have expanded the team's staff of rehab specialists
as well. - WashPost
I've never seen a team with so many muscle and conditioning related
injuries as the 'skins have had over the past two years. Clearly,
there is something wrong with the training and conditioning staff.
Since these positions have no effect on the salary cap, my bet is that
Danny will spend some major coin to bring in some of the best guys in
the country.
I'm glad he has recognized the problem, and begun to address it.
How big of an impact can this have?
-What if Moss hadn't been struggling with a hamstring injury for the
frist half of the season (which then led to a compensation heel
injury).
-What if Marcus Washington hadn't been out with a hamstring injury,
also the first half of the season? He represents about 40% of the
team's QB pressure.
-What if Randy Thomas hadn't torn his tricep? He's the best pulling
guard on the team.
