Bucs fan here -

Man - this is becoming too common. Saying congrats to OTHER NFL teams when
they get our coaches. At least we kept Monte Kiffen.

Rod was our D-Line coach, he rebuilt Simeon Rice's career. Expect the Lions
to be runnign a version of the Tampa 2 defense. I'm sorry but I don't know
the Lions personel that well - the Tampa 2 is a team defense built on speed.
4 linemen need to provide QB pressure - LB's need to be fast and DBs smart.

I figure give it two seasons for the Lions defense to break the top 15 in
overall defense. As for your offense - GULP!

You have WR's and no QB - Do you want Brian Greise?

No. We could have had him, but instead decided to go for that stud,
Charlie Batch.

Brian Greise??? At this point I'd take Bob Greise. I wonder if he can
still throw?

Just as long as they don't end up like Don McCafferty...

Well, Bailey and Lehman are pretty fast LBs. I think Holmes is a plodder
in the middle, but he plugs the run OK. Rush linemen aren't all that good,
Rogers is quick but Wilkinson is slow.

DBs, other than Bly (and a lot of us would even question that), they aren't
all that good....

It won't matter. The lions are a perpetually losing franchise and no
coach is going to change that, ESPECIALLY under the current management.

6-10 next year (2006-2007). You heard it here first.

I suspect that you are the kind of guy that would appeal to some of the
Detroit sportswriters.

Class of 99 QBs Interesting that of the 2 guys the Browns really dithered over before picking Couch, one is now a backup, and the other (Akili Smith) is working to become the 3rd stringer in Green Bay. In retrospect, one has to wonder what they didn't see in McNabb and C
