CU found "madonna constantine", a black-female professor who last year
got lots of publicity when she found a noose on the door of her office,
guilty of plagiarism. The university report said they found “numerous
instances in which she used others’ work without attribution in papers
she published in academic journals over the past five years.”
Nevertheless, CU refused to fire her:
An unrepentant Constantine sent an e-mail to other faculty claiming she
has been the victim of a "conspiracy and witch hunt", and:
"I am left to wonder whether a white faculty member would have been
treated in such a publicly disrespectful and disparaging manner."
She's right about the disparate treatmentt: A white faculty member would
have been fired. Sheesh.
