As many here have expected, Roosevelt Colvin
was a salary cap cut today, according to channel 7
in Boston. Eugene Wilson was also released.

I though I heard it was Wilson earlier today - but now I'm hearing it is
Lua.

Didn't check the Herald but Reiss is reporting that Colvin was cut along
with Lua.

Depending on the amount that he had in possession, this really isn't
that big of a deal to me so long as the amount was small.

Nope. Since it's the Pats the commish will suspend him for life.

That's what the Herald is now saying online, that Lua spent the
season on IR & was cut. But channel 7 is still claiming that Wilson
was cut! Not updating/correcting the misinformation from earlier.

Still, one has to wonder WTF is going on with these guys. First it was
Andrews caught with a huge amount and now Faulk?
Faulk is one of the last guys you'd expect to screw up like this. Along
with Colvin being cut and now this, it's not a good day for me as a Pats
fan.

I thought Faulk was caught before with it a few years back?

Don't know about that, but he was caught with a couple of joints at a
concert. He got a misdemeanor summons and will need to report for a
court date. Reminds me of a great line from a Robin Williams show a
few years back -- "Man, I wouldn't smoke grass in California any
more. You can get a ticket for that!"

It's not illegal in California anymore, and it shouldn't be.

Think he'll get suspended?

At which point it'd be continued without a finding for 30-90 days and
then the charges dismissed if he doesn't get into trouble again within
that time frame. Faulk is also from LA, a state that gave us Louise
Armstrong - a guy who was notorious for having smoked every day. And
lastly, to state something obvious, there'a big difference between Faulk
getting caught with four joints at a concert versus Andrews being caught
with half a pound in his trunk.

It's Colvin and Lua - what are the odds that Colvin signs a bargain
basement contract with his hometown Colts and stick it to the Pats. It
seems like that Pats are clearing salary space to go after a big name

Looks like Ghoston is going to be the pick unless the Jets take him ahead of
the Pats.
Only Vrable and Thomas are the returning starters.
I'd say if Jr and Teddy just may get another contract.

I am pining for Vandy's Jonathan Goff - hopefully the Pats can get him
with the third round pick they got from the Raiders
