I will have to say that I'm very surprised at the outcome of this game, but
congrats to the Patriot fans. I figured the Jags would win this game, and
they looked in control early on, but I definitely was not counting on Brady
playing the greatest game ever by an NFL quarterback in the history of the
league. To say the least, that was a pretty tough singular effort to
overcome. Garrard was right up there with him, but our defense could not
quite slow Brady down. If you didn't know any better, you'd swear he knew
our defensive game plan several days in advance, but I'm sure that's just
coincidence. Congratulations to NE, I will continue to watch you throughout
the rest of the playoffs.

Jags should be proud of the attempt. They fought hard and Garrard is
well on his way to being one of the better QBs in the league. He was
pretty impressive.

The real test is likely to be next week against Indy.

Must be spies out there.

How do you think the Pats run D fared against Jacksonville's top-rated
running game?

About average, maybe a little less. The Jags offense pretty much had their
way with the Pats defense, but had to get away from the running game a
little bit after falling behind, so that's pretty much how I saw things
going. The biggest surprise to me was Brady who played the best game in the
history of the NFL, which is exactly what he needed to do win this evening.

Is anybody else watching this horseshit? The reporters sound like they all

How come Jacksonville rushed for so few yards and such a low YPC relative to
their season totals, if it was a "little less than average" run D
performance?

As usual the Pats take away what the other team does best and forces
them to win another way. For a while it looked like Jax might do it.

The defense was flat the first half, probably the two week layoff. That made
the game close. They were much better the 2nd half. Took awhile for some of
those veterans to get going.
They will need to be better defensively in the first half next week
The Patriots have too many offensive weapons. As long as Maroney provides
them a running game, they will be tough to beat.

Congrats from Steeler Country Nice game, nice win. You guys took care of business when the chips were down, and we didn't. Jags are my 2nd favorite team in the league (albeit a distant 2nd from my Steelers), because they play the game the way it was meant to be played - tough, hard-h

WHAT DO THE JAGS HAVE TO DO TO BEAT THE PATS? Simple - at least in theory. 1. Don't make mistakes (especially turnovers) 2. Keep Brady off the field with long, clock-eating drives by Taylor, Jones-Drew & Co. 3. When Brady is on the field: pressure him, pressure him, pressure him.

Congrats to the Pats Apparently they were who we thought they were. The Patriots are just that damned good, and I'm not ashamed to say it. That's the way it is in the NFL, your team can't always be on top. I thought my Steelers did a good job of staying with 'em in the first
