...and in years wanted in the contract negotiations.
On Rotoworld they sourced the Plain Dealer on these numbers: DA & his
agent are asking for 68 mil over 6 years, the Browns are offering 18
mil over 3 years with 10 mil guaranteed.
Looks like the team will end up giving the tender(?) offer that would
give them a 1st & 3rd from whichever team signs him. However, I don't
see anyone wanting to pay that much in draft picks for him. So he could
end up staying in Cleveland for another year at about 2.5 mil. If that's
the case then definitely get ready for Quinn, because I think DA would
be the backup. With a tougher schedule in '08 they may decide to break
'the kid' in, knowing DA will fly the coop at the end of the season.
UNLESS they are able to work something out before the season begins.
Maybe 4 years at 7 mil a year.
At this point I'd rather see him gone because he's just not that
accurate. Edwards & Winslow made his season more than anything with
incredible catches, along with Jurevicious moving the chains. The one
thing I give him tons of credit for is getting the ball out quickly. And
he has zip on his throws. I don't believe he's worth 6 or 7 mil per year
though. Just don't see it.
