I encourage you today to go out to your local libraries, schoolhouses and
churches to participate in the nominating caucus for your national party
convention. This is a great day of focus for this wonderful state and a
chance for everyone to draw nice attention to this area. Please go
out...hold your debates and cast your vote. Do the right thing. Be a part
of history. It is high time a national party had the guts it takes to put
someone on the top of a ticket with the political experience to run, the
connections to direct and the inherent support of the largest
disenfranchised group in our nation.
Go....debate...and cast your support for the nomination of Hillary Rodham
Clinton for President of the United States of America. Thank you and may
God bless America.

And then after researching everyone....you'll realize that you should vote
for Ron Paul!!
Damn...I think he did better in WA than anywhere else! I didn't realize
there were so many Libertarians in WA. Maye that's where I get it from.
Anyway, anyone who voted...Good job...(As long as it wasn't for Hillary or
McCain) |

Washington's system of voting is such a mess... There's no way in hell we
would check that little box that claims we are either Rep or Dem, so we
don't get to vote at all. Not even for Paul, who is the ONLY one making any
sense. Pretty clever way of ensuring that a badly needed third party will
NEVER rise.

Really? I'm colorblind and party blind, so I tend to listen to their stance
on issues. Since Paul won't be there in the Presidential election, I'll
settle for Obama. Apparently, every single county in WA agrees with that.

Well, that's your opinion....He's also the only one who will stop the war,
end high taxes, end entitlements and restore the bill of rights. But since
he isn't a lapdog for the Isreali lobbyists that makes him an anti-semite?
That's a stretch.
Yeah, we have some supporters that piss a lot of people off and make it hard
to garner support for this guy but the anti-semitic business is nonsense. |

Nice use of "Democrat Party" as a perjorative instead of the grammatically
correct "Democratic Party."
Toe that party line, baby! |

Wow, just when I had finished writing a post about small-minded
people, this shows up. Coincidence? I think not. |

Taking a stand on important moral issues is about as far from small
minded as it gets.

didn't.

Wow, just when I had finished writing a post about small-minded

I am more concerned about his complete stupidity when it comes to national
security issues (i.e. embrace the leader of Iran, threaten to attack
Pakistan, criticize the invasion of Iraq as some kind of diversion of forces
from Afghanistan..then turn around and suggest forced military intervention
into Darfur). The guy may have Hussein as a middle name, but he bleeds
liberal stupid by any other name.

Wrong, Charles. I don't agree with everything Paul says. I'll even give
you that he is a little fruity around the edges. However, his core issues
are solid and sensible, to anyone with an open mind. Obviously, he's not
even in the race, so I favor the least harmful candidate. Lemme tell ya, it
aint Hillary, or McCain. Have you noticed that you haven't gotten one
single supporter here? Whomever inherits the awful mess the current
administration has made of our country, we need to be able to follow them
without cringing. Obama is a nice guy, and the kind of speaker who could
energize our nation and begin to heal our wounds. Beyond that, his stance
on the issues isn't all that different than Clinton's.... except that he
didn't buy into W's lies, from the beginning.

It's called double-speak, Melvin. If you don't buy it, you're a traitor.

Can't be any more straightforward.
As Edmund Burke said: All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men
to do nothing.
