OK let's start...Who should we pick. Most say a Defensive End but on
mock draft has us taking the QB from Louisville

I don't think we can afford to draft another QB at this point, if
Jackson is not the guy, we need to get an established QB somehow (sick
of year after year rebuilding). I would take a Defensive End, given the
fact the Udeze is probably out this year, and our DE performance wasn't
exactly top notch. But I am sure we will take someone that the Vikings
staff were shocked they were still available. |

We went out last year and got two established QBs with NFL experience
who were ready to go right into the line-up to back-up Jackson, and
that shows how shallow the talent pool is at that position this year.
As far as I know, nobody's dangling franchise QBs in trade offers, or
letting them get away, so to replace Jackson we may have to get
another guy out of college. Is there a QB controversy somewhere the
Vikings can take advantage of, or a decent back-up who ran over a
traffic cop and needs a change of scenery? |

If you are referring to the 2 duds that we signed.....I doubt they were
signed to compete for the starting role. |

What bugs me is we drafted a QB in the 7th round last year and i would
have kept him over the two back ups to Jackson..We cut him and KC
snapped him up.....
Tyler Thigpen i belive his name is ...
I do not have a problem drafting a QB and if one of the first round QB's
are there we should put it out that we mite take him and maybe we can
get another team to bite and get a good trade ....I just do not think id
take one with our first pick , maybe one in the second round ..
We do need a DE who can rush the passer but if a good CB is there i
mite take him .....
