Spags will stay in NY. At this stage, I'm rooting for Russ Grimm to get the
job. He might be the only guy with a connection to the team who can bring
it all together. He's got a lot more experience than Spags.

Why does his connection matter?

Because Bugel and some of the other coaches still employed by the Skins go
back to when Grimm was a player. It will ease the transition process.

That was a long time ago. I don't think it would make any difference. If
I had to rank candidates on a scale of 1 to 100, Grimm might get one
extra point for the connection, but that's it.

Spagnuolo's out. Almost certainly to be Fassel now unfortunately.
The HC nobody has wanted for years and got fired from the Ravens.
He's the only one who will take the job

If Grimm was HC material he'd be coaching for the Steelers. Still he would
be a better choice then Fassel and Spagnuolo is now out of the running.

Why's everyone discounting Meeks? Doesn't he have a connection too?

Probably because so little has been said about him and Fassel
supposedly had blessed Blache and Zorn and had an outline of a
contract.

With Spangnuolo out of the running, I'd now most like to see Meeks get the
job. That leaves Zorn as an OC who has no experience calling plays. Still
Campbell will probably benefit from a much simplier offense provided they
can get an improvement with the offensive line.

I don't think Fassel is that good and definitely not worth the wait.
