The kid's mom is a crackhead who abandoned him; his father was not
around either. Against the odds, with the help of his grandmother, he
managed to develop self-esteem and a gameplan and succeed. He's
thrilled now that he will be able to pay back his grandmother and make
some of her dreams come true, some to do with helping poor people and
giving other kids a second chance in life.
If it sounds like I take this personally, I do - I know the guy
second-hand. Unless your mother and father abandoned you by age 2,
maybe you should refrain from trying to judge this guy's tears. |

You have to understand the concept of trolling in usenet. Walter is
just a misguided idiot who craves attention from the fans of teams
that he hates. I know Davis's story and he's got better reasons
for crying than the likes of Walter, who is still crying because
the Rams left LA.
As for Walter's parent abandoning him, well let's just say that they
tried, but did not succeed. |

They abandoned him in a L.A. area dumpster. He climbed out and found
his way back home. He was 42 at the time. |

Sounds plausible, but there's something we didn't consider. His parents
were not there when he go home.
