The last 2 "Year Afters" were not kind at all for the NYG.
The crown in '86 was followed by a players strike (The infamous "replacement
players" year) and the year after '90 Parcells split and we ended up with
you know who.

This time we have the THIRD YOUNGEST TEAM in the NFL.
Our coaches are ALL coming back, a rarity for a SB team.
Of course the big Question is... Can Eli play most of next year like he
finished this year?
With a healthy Burress and Shockey and Steve Smith with another camp under
his belt I can't find one reason why he shouldn't. I think the main thing
going for him will be his boost in confidence, after all he is the MAN right
now.

Also I'd like to upgrade at back up QB if we can, Eli has proved to be
durable so far, but I'd hate to see next season to go down the drain if Eli
goes down.

our own dynasty. A New York Giants dynasty."

I'll be interested to see who comes back. If both Wilson and Stray
leave, the Giants will have some serious holes to fill.

FYI Iommi: Eli was on WFAN in New York yesterday with Mike and the Mad Dog.
They asked him about Shockey and his response was that they probably would
have scored more points and won their playoff games by larger margins if he
had been in there. When asked when he felt like the team was really coming
together he said in the Tampa game when they started using a shorter passing
game and Steve Smith emerged as a third wideout.

I think Mathias Kiwanuka could return to DE without any problems - he may be
the best of the bunch at DE.

That's a really good point. I hope they're done trying to make a
linebacker out of him, especially since the current linebackers played
pretty damn well.
