Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Mike Patterson was arrested Saturday
and charged with marijuana possession in Evesham, police said today.
Police said they found a vehicle on the side of the road with damage caused
by a minor motor vehicle accident around 6 a.m. They said they smelled
burning marijuana coming from inside and found Patterson and the marijuana
inside. They said Patterson admitted it was his.

Patterson, 24, a number one draft pick of the Eagles in 2005, was placed
under arrest and taken into custody, police said.

Also inside the car was Patterson's 28-year-old brother, Tyrone, who had
several outstanding warrants for his arrest, police said. Police said he
resisted arrest.

Mike Patterson was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and
released pending a court appearance, police said. His brother was charged
with resisting arrest, posted bail and was released pending a court
appearance, police said.

A police report lists both as living in Evesham.

Thank you for posting the update. In addition, it is refreshing to see you
have returned to the NG, for what I hope the beginning of more frequent
visits during the offseason. Perhaps I can reward you for your postings
