The NFC EAST is back as the bad boy of the NFL and that the AFC's
decade-long dominance has come to a screeching halt, courtesy of the
NFC East, which the NFC East has also been responsible for in the
past. Here are some interesting NFC East facts this past season:
1. The superbowl winner is from the NFC East
2. The NFC East produced the top seed in the playoffs this season
3. The NFC East is sending the Lions' share of players to the pro
bowl in the NFC and with the Cowboys sending the most at a record
high 13 players.
4. The NFC East produced THREE playoff teams this past season and a
resurgent Eagles team wasn't far behind.
Will this be a repeat of the early 90's where the giants beat the
Bills in the superbowl and then the skins and Cowboys won the next 3
superbowls against the Bills as well?, this time only it being the
Pats in replacement?..............we'll see. In any event, the NFC
East has considerably belted the rest of the NFC in the mouth and now
the AFC as well. The BEAST has arisen from it's slumber. Next year the
NFC East "wars" begin in renewed and healthy intensity, with the
Cowboys looking to regain their position for dominance over the entire
league with a superbowl championship and the rest of the NFC East
trying either to stop them or to fight eachother and the rest of the
conference for a playoff berth. The Cowboys will enter the season with
a mission to reclaim. The giants will enter the season with the same
goal and the eagles the same. The skins to me, aren't ready for this
yet but may give a hard time to all.
LET THE MAYHEM BEGIN COME NEXT SEPTEMBER!
