Just saw Jay Jay Glazer announce on the FOX pregame show that Mike
Holmgren will announce his retirement, either Monday or Tuesday. And
that Jim Mora would have gotten the Skins job, had he not pulled his
name from considertaion. There was a lot of speculation that Mora
suddenly pulling his name from consideration had a lot to due with his
having inside knowledge that Holmgren would walk away from the Hawks.
Well, looks like that was indeed the case. Say hello to the Jim Mora
era.

Although this is a distinct possibility, I'd not read much into what
Glazer says. His smile and tone of voice remind me of a typical politician.

Yea I know, right? Especially when both Randy Mueller AND
Jim Haslett are available.

*IF* that happens, I would like to be the first to go on the books right
now as saying it would be a mistake...and what will eventually be called a
step backwards. I hope to high heaven and hell that it never happens.

Regis

Yeah...if we win a SB with Mora at the helm, I'll say I was wrong...I just
can't imagine that possibility ever becoming a reality.

I'm just upset that that hack Glazer is bandwagoning
on my prediction.

You hear that Glazer? I'm talking to you. I know
you're reading this.

I think anyone not wearing blinders could see this coming "if" Holmgren
steps down. Even the dolts on TV who probably don't even realize the
'Hawks have an offensive coordinator. Wink

My biggest "if" is the OC position. I hope it goes to Gil to keep the
offensive side as continuous as possible.

Agree 100% IMO Gil should be head coach.

I'm not sure Gil ever wanted to be HC. Kind of like Monte Kiffin for TB
and Jimmy Johnson of the Eagles.

Also, Ruskell seems to be a fanboy of defense, which is why I think he
would go with Mora over Gil anyway

Yea, he sort of rubs me the wrong way. It would just make it that much
sweeter if the Hawks were to announce a contract extension for
Holmgren in the coming days.

Well, I am seeing nary a word of this anywhere, so I suspect
Mr Glazer is (as usual) spewing chunks from his pie hole...
