HOGs wanted that game a whole lot more than LSU. My hats off to them. Shame
we won't have a SEC team as national champions but then we wouldn't in any
case if LSU played like they did today.

Georgia could back into the MNC if everything falls just right. Long shot
but could happen. Kirk H said today UGA is the hotest team in the nation
right now

Tough game there Scruffy. I was pulling for UK because I don't think
UT deserved it. Still, UGA had a great season, laid one on us Gators
(still the only team that I think thumped us), and you'll be playing
in a BCS Bowl. Go show some want-a-be school from a poo-dunk
conference what it's like to line up against a REAL SEC team.

I actually missed a large chunk of the GA-GA Tech game to watch it. |

An LSU win would've meant a lot more if LSU was still just one loss, but
they're not, so it's really hard to say, but frankly, coach, UT loses out
unless they win, in my opinion, and it almost certainly bodes better for
both UGA and UF if UT loses. I hate to say that because we -want- to root
for the east, but it's probably not in our (UGA and UF's) interest to do so.
If UT was ranked higher, it would probably make more sense to root for UT.
I think UGA is pretty much guarunteed a BCS bowl birth no matter the outcome
since they're ranked so danged high all of a sudden, but I seem to recall
recently that they've amended the BCS rules this year to allow up to three
teams from one conference to be in BCS bowls? I could be mistaken on that,
but if it's true, there is still hope for UF to get an at-large bid in
addition to UGA, since right at this moment UF is #10 in the BCS. Now if UT
does win, that guaruntees they get the Sugar bowl (of course) but then LSU
would be the most likely to get a third SEC bid if they do indeed get three
bids.
So... while I honestly hate to root against my own division, we need y'all
to lose, coach! If you don't then good for you. Like Georgia (and UF), UT
seems to be playing its best ball late this season. Personally, I now think
LSU was either always over-rated, or going in the opposite direction. I
have no doubt than any of us top-3 east teams could blow-out LSU right -now-
