He had a pretty good rookie year with Tampa Bay, but has been a big
disappointment since then. He's not overrated any more. Considering
Devery Henderson is playing better than him now, maybe Clayton was
overrated at LSU.
No, I still haven't seen the movie. |

I haven't seen it yet, it has received great reviews...OTOH...lawyer
who represents Big Eveel Corporations (tm) has second thoughts and
rebels against his pay masters....? Is that it? I think the first
100 times I saw this story line it was interesting, but the last 500
times? C'mon.
How 'bout this: Environmental group sues Big Eveel Corporations (tm)
to stop production of Product A because it his harmful to Mother
Earth. Idealistic lawyer takes the side fo the Al Gores. Comes to
find-out that Product A will help millions of people, especially in
the third world, but the greenies are against because it will only
lead to increase in population and higher consumption...? That movie
has never been made. "Michael Clayton" has been made thousands of
times.

Actually, his entire law firm knows what scumbugs they're representing and
openly admit it to one another, but only one of the senior partners
decides that actually carrying through on the contract and turning a blind
eye despite people dying isn't a Good Idea. Unfortunately, *that* guy is
schizophrenic and has decided to stop taking his medication.
Clayton's the guy who's called in to sweep up after a colorful scene
featuring the schizophrenic guy. Most of the movie is spent with him
trying to figure out WTF. |

It seemed like most of the movie was Clooney talking. And I found it
all very predictable. Two things that dont make a thrilling movie
experience.
