From ESPN:
A spokesperson for Sen. Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania said Tuesday that
Specter's staff is working to finalize a meeting early next week with NFL
commissioner Roger Goodell to discuss the Spygate controversy.
Specter also has said he might be interested in speaking with Patriots
quarterback Tom Brady to determine if Brady benefited from any illegally
gathered material. Specter's spokesperson indicated Tuesday that the first
step will be the session with Goodell, adding that Brady could be contacted
depending on the outcome of the first meeting.
LET'S HOPE HE ALSO ASKS BRADY (UNDER OATH) IF IT WAS A FUMBLE. Hehhehe...
perjury can be costly.

Of course it was a fumble!
Having said that, I think Specter should keep his nose out of the NFL. It
stopped being "for love of the game" a long time ago. This sounds like
nothing more than posturing -- like steroids -- and nothing fruitful is
likely to come of it. Make no mistake, I have no love (respect yes, love no)
for the Pats, but even less love for a politician grandstanding. fwiw...

I don't mind if they keep messing with the Patriots... if nothing else, it
will keep our favorite trolls squirming. |

More like "the league said it was a fumble, so it was a fumble" or some
other pansy-assed, no-balls response that proves he wears ladies
underwear. Tom will never own up to the truth. He's in denial, much
like many of our trolls here.

True to a point, however, as long as teams get tax money for
stadiums, and continue to operate with a congressionally
blessed monopoly exemption, they are going to have to deal
with it.

A question regarding the possibility of taping previous SB o If there was no rule against taping, prior to '04 and if the Pats couldn't have taped the Eagles nor the Cougars, during the regular season, as they didn't play, what is there that could be construed as tainting those wins? |
