Notre Dame TE could be Packers' pick

Pete Fiutak of CollegeFootballNews.com projects the Packers will select
Notre Dame tight end John Carlson with the 30th pick in the NFL draft.

Writes Fiutak: "The Packers need secondary help and could use another
offensive tackle to throw in the rotation. Considering this is Brett Favre's
last hurrah, more targets to keep the offense moving could be the call to
make another big run at a title. Even so, don't discount the possibility of
mortgaging the future, at least a little bit, to move up to snag one of the
top corners."

CollegeFootballNews.com has Carlson rated as the fifth-best tight end
available. ESPN's Mel Kiper ranks Carlson second among available tight ends
(subscription required).

I'd prefer the Purdue kid.

I think this will be a tough one for the Packers The Giants have the best defense the Packers have faced all year and an excellent running game which will be effective in the weather. There's a chance the Packer defense could collapse and give up a lot of yards running. I don't think Manning will be b
