"....Snyder and Cerrato are intent on seeing Jason Campbell prosper, and the
pressure is on Zorn to produce with him in the near term. Campbell will be
working under a seventh offensive system in eight years dating from college
and some wonder how much patience the Redskins' front office will have with
him as he learns another system.

'It's a two-to-three year process,' said one veteran coach who, like Zorn,
is a disciple of Seattle Coach Mike Holmgren. 'I'll be very interested to
see what kind of rope that kid gets.'...."

Ever see Citizen Kane? About midway through the movie Charles Foster Kane
tries to steamroll acceptance of his marginally talented second wife's
singing skills upon an uninterested group of music critics and fans. It's a
case study in how some try to force others into believing that what they see
and hear are good things. But they are not. It's kinda like Bush I and
Bush II trying to convince us that there's no recession when our interest
rates and wallets tell us different.

Jason is as talented as any other average NFL quarterback. If he truly had
the greatness that some here suggest, he'd look more like Vince Young and
not quite as much like Shawn King. As yet, he still can't finish a game.
And all the dinking and dunking that the WCO will bring won't change that.
Sadly, he's the best we have.

But it doesn't really matter because Danny has taken us back to that nether
region between Norv and Spurrier. We're already talking about Briggs and
Ocho Cinco and trading away all our draft picks. We will be a laughing
stock until Danny dies or goes broke. Let's hope for one or both.
