much as been made about the fact that the jag's will run all over the pats.
a checks of the stats shows that the pats average over 115 yards and 4.1
yards per carry. and in the stat is a lot of knee downs and runs up the
guards and tackles as they waste the clock. jax us 4.5 and 145 yards. so
there is a gap but the pats are not last in the league.
now on passing, different story, they out gain the jags by 185 yards per
game.
i think a lot of the press {espn etc} comments need to be read with some
restraint. if a writer predicts a pat win - will it get posted or printed.
they get paid on printed and posted so they may be working hard for a pay
check on these articles.
i live here in jax and i am a fan of both teams so this is not an attempted
shot at the locals. there are 4 domant teams this year [colts, pats, cowboys
and packers]. hard to get past them.
I think that next year we may see a team drop out of that four and the jag's
may enter. they have shown domance against the steelers and cleveland and
titans are not really that close. they need to address a method to get past
indy first for home games in the playoffs -and then get past the pats. a
stud receiver or two is a must, and help in the defensive backfield so that
the dime packages have all first stringers. look at the rotations the pats
us on defense and they rotate all over the field except maybe for assante.
