After I heard this I went to the 2006 Charger vs. Niner game to see him in
action. He seems to move well but you can actually see him squint and close
one eye so that he could get the defensive signals from the sideline. Has
his vision problem been fixed?

On a side note, I also saw that when they were introducing the players they
had him listed as an outside LB not inside.

I haven't heard anything about his eye being o.k. so it's probably
still out. But then again, depth perception isn't too important if
you're fast and you know how to tackle (Smith is 1/2 in those
categories). I think the Chargers will see opponents stick to the run
a lot more next season, especially with the cutback runs late in the
game and late in the season. Smith's role is to stop the 9+ minute
drive that NE had because the Chargers don't like to bring the
safeties up.

Anyone Have A Solution To All The Defensive Problems? All time rushing leaders - grass vs. artificial turf? A simple bar discussion turned into a question I'm having trouble solving. I'd like to know the NFL's all-time rushing leaders (top five let's say) on natural grass, and on artificial turf. Can't find any ready-made lists of this on google, and I'm sure
