Other players who, as the rumor mill goes, might already have deals include
receiver Bernard Berrian, cornerback Drayton Florence, and receiver D.J.
Hackett.

Berrian would look good in Seahawk blue.

I sure hope Hackett doesn't end up with the Niners.

We're going to do a sign and trade with the 49ers to get Jackson back
for Trapani....

Jackson or a better WR!! I'd be very happy with someone better than him!

In that case we could give up Hackett too and it would still be a good
deal for us! Wink

I've said it once and I'll say it again. I've heard both Cromwell and
Haskell state that Obomanu is essentially the same kind of receiver as
Hackett and the same size. They have both indicated that if we lose Hackett,
they feel comfortable with Obomanu filling that big receiver role if you
read between the lines. I think with the loss of Hackett though, it will
make the Seahawks add a WR to the list of needed players mainly because
Branch is also going to be gone for awhile.

Look for them to pick up a WR in the draft or go after a cap causality that
can still play. Trapani probably has some guys in mind since he's advocating
we go after a WR like I'm touting the TE's. We have our player specialty
guys in the news group this year. For TE's it me. For receivers got to
Trapani. Look to Duert for DT and Dino for LB. Phil handles the OT's and I'm
not sure who's got the RB's and CB's covered but someone must. Smile

Actually, Husted and I have traded Trapani and Hackett to San Francisco to
get them to keep Jackson, or was it Trapani we wanted em to keep? Me I may
be headed to the CFL Smile

And that's the Bottom Line..

I guess we won't be looking at a WR or OT in our future then.

Come to think of it, I'm going to trade the whole bunch of you guys to East
Coast teams. BillB will be happy that I didn't trade to a division rival.
Then we'll draft TE's in the first three rounds. We'll be using the double
TE formation a lot this season. Smile

So much for that bastion of truth known as PFT...

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver D.J. Hackett is going to become an
unrestricted free agent on Friday, and there is a good chance Hackett
will not re-join the Seahawks.

Hackett’s Denver-based agent, Kevin Robinson, met with Seahawks general
manager Tim Ruskell and vice president of football administration John
Idzik at the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis, and Robinson came
away from the meeting seemingly discouraged by Seattle’s commitment to
their 2004 fifth-round pick.

“We are going to test the market,” Robinson said. “I won’t rule out
Seattle as a destination but we are going to test the market and see
what’s out there.”

You wanted his agent to say, we talked with Jim Zorn in violation of my
clients contract, and have agreed to a 200 year deal for $8 a year because
we hate being in Seattle????

It wasn't until I checked out his website that I understood why his
band was named "Power Often"

It's amazing what spacing and punctuation can do.

Anyone have Buddy Hackett? Cuz he's dead now. Scott

Scary deal for CFL fans? Mark Cohon wouldn't answer the question. Is he now frightened for his league? Is he now scared for the future of the CFL? "What I'm here to do is be a leader, to be methodical in my approach. I want to be very methodical in my relationship with the NFL,"

So what was the deal with Pouta and Jammer? I deleted the post. Are we free of his Jammer bashing or not? lol

What is the deal with Rivers this year? He really does come off poorly with all the trash talk, even if he didn't start it. This is now what you would expect from a winner. You would think he led this team back to playoff caliber, but I would guess anyone outside of SD (and perhaps a lot in SD
