* We hear Bucs DE Gaines Adams showed so much improvement in the
latter part of his rookie year that veteran DE Greg Spires, who missed
six games last season with a calf injury and had his lowest sack total
-- two -- since 1999, may not be in Tampa's plans for next season.

* Bucs special-teams coordinator Richard Bisaccia was named the
team's RB coach, taking over for Art Valero, who took a position with
the Rams. Bisaccia will continue to coach special teams, too, and we
hear he has the ultimate respect of head coach Jon Gruden. It's a
popular move with players, who get along well with the personable
Bisaccia, but the team's special teams could struggle if he becomes
too consumed with managing the Bucs' backfield.

He'll be back *only* if he's cheap. And he won't be guaranteed a
roster spot.

This concerns me because the special teams position takes a *lot* of
time and planning. And, right now, the Bucs RB coach needs to put in a
*lot* of time and planning.
