Packers talk to fullback
You wouldn't think the Green Bay Packers are interested in scouting college
fullbacks after Korey Hall and John Kuhn exceeded expectations in 2007.
In fact, the Packers also have Ryan Powdrell, who spent last season on
injured reserve, and part-time fullback Corey White, who spent last year on
the practice squad, in their back pocket.
All four fullbacks will be coming back to compete for jobs in 2008. But
apparently the Packers are still doing their due diligence in the offseason.
According to NFL Draft Guys, the Packers have been talking to Furman
fullback Jerome Felton (pictured), one of this draft class's best fullbacks.
When asked about his expectation for this year's draft, Felton said, "I
don't want to say a team because whoever you talk to doesn't meant much
because it is still unexpected. The higher the better for me, I want to be
the top fullback off the board."
