Both the Cowboys & Lions appear primed
to make it to the playoffs at this point of the
season, though success in the playoffs, that's
been nothing but an unfulfilled dream for
these -2- teams in the 21st century and in
the latter part of the 20th century ...

Ironically, the Lions' last playoff victory was
against none other than the Dallas Cowboys,
and the Cowboys' last playoff victory was
against another NFC North team, the Min-
nesota Vikings:

Well, congrats on being 6-2 and being
among the leading playoff likelies at
this point of the season. If the Lions
make it to the playoffs, best of luck
on breaking that playoff victory
drought, so long as the Lions aren't
playing the Cowboys. And, of course,
with the Cowboys playing the Lions
this year, best of luck on all games
apart from those in which the Cow-
boys are the Lions' opponent.

I'm enjoying the season the Lions are having, but let's not put the cart
before the horse. They have a LOOOOOOOOOOONG way to go before I'd entertain
a "playoff discussion".

Wasn't it just last season the Giants went 8-0 and then went 0-8 and
missed the playoffs? Let's not even talk about Detroit using the "P"
word until week 13 at least.
