So Garrett is in Baltimore today to interview for the Ravens job and Sparano
is probably going to be hired by Miami this week along with a bunch of other
Dalals coaches. Someone explain to me how they could have been preparing
for the Giants when they were preparing for interviews with other teams.

If the media thinks Cabo was a distriction for Romo, how about the coaching
staff being distracted before a playoff game with offers of new jobs? Jerry
shold have told those other teams to wait until after the playoffs. He
already gave Miami his personnel guy. He owed them nothing. I understand
the Giants denied other teams their request to talk to their defensive
coach.

I wondered about this myself.

The media gave Red and the other ass't coaches a pass on their
interviews, while playing up the Romo-Simpson-Mexico as much as
possible.

I guess coaching interviews don't sell as many papers as pictures of
Jessica.

Ding ding ding!

Anyways, has Cam Cameron landed a job yet? If Garret goes to Baltimore and
Sparano to Miami I say we bring him on as OC since he's another Norv
disciple and probably runs a similar style of offense. I realize he flamed
out as a head coach but maybe that would make him a better OC candidate
since he wont be competing for another HC job anytime soon. Any other
available coaches we should consider?

There will not be any more black head coaches.
There may be some Mike Tice sort of guys interviewed but the NFL is heading
to 100% white men.

I find the NFL rules on this very odd. Why do teams get to interview
other team's coaches while the playoffs are still in progress? Why not
force them to wait? If they want to level the playing field for those
coaches, they could declare a "dead" period during which no coaches
could be signed from the end of the regular season until after the Super
Bowl. But I don't get that they let them interview while they're
supposed to be WORKING.

Trams are able to restrict other teams from interviewing coaches while
the season (including the playoffs) are still in progress. The Cowboys
management screwed up by allowing it, unless they didn't feel it would
be a distraction, which would show extreme incompetence.

If it's for a promotion, the Giants couldn't prevent the other team from
talking to their defensive coach.
