Levy would *never* even consider a guy like Rogers. This is what happens
when there is no GM and the decisions are left to Jauron. |

I'm not defending Rogers, but Jauron knows him. He may be cut and could
be had for nothing or perhaps a late round pick. He would be the best
DT on the team. Got to weigh the risks and rewards on this one. Good
DTs are hard to find. |

A free agent DT I like is Paul Spicer from the Jags.Underated
player.Solid in the run and can get some pressure.Im sure the Jags
will try to keep him. |

So you'd rather put the decisions in the hands of quality GM's like Marv
Levy and Tom Donahoe?? |

I don't know anything about him. Any other free agents you like? I
think it is going to be tough to get any "top" FA with a shallow group
of talent and teams with a lot of money to spend. One guy I like at WR
is Bryant Johnson, who may be affordable. I like Berrian too, but
he''ll be expensive. |

Not a good year for free agents as whole.DT is very weak.Spicer is
just a solid player. Not a super star are nothing. If I picked up anyone
at DT it would be him.I wish we could get Sedrick Ellis the DT from
USC.But he will be long gone before we pick.I think he is a great fit
for the cover 2.
I havn't had a chance to see Bryant Johnson play much.I know they have
the two other really good WRs there. So im not sure if he could step in
and be the #2 behind Evans. But Like I said I havn't seen him play that
much at all.I do like his size.I would have to see more of him to get
a better feel of his game.
Berrian is more of a deep guy.Evans and Roscoe Parrish both can get
deep on people.I kinda feel like we have that area covered already. We
need a move the chains guy.Either at TE or WR.
To me Reed hasn't showed a thing since his rookie season. He should be
no more then our 4th WR.The only WRs I like on our roster is
Evans,Parrish, and Sam Aiken(special teams).I think Parrish is cut out
to be a slot guy.He needs to get more time on the field.Other then
that blow it up.Draft one or two WRs and sign somebody. |

It's anyone's guess how you even start to compare Levy to Donahoe much less
Levy to Jauron.
Levy's philosophy as a GM and coach (he had a *lot* of influence in Polian's
decisions) was to emphasize character. There were plenty of times back in
the Bills brief era of prosperity when players with ten times the talent of
Rogers were not even considered (or let go when their character was
revealed). |

I Googled Spicer. Seems he had some strong opinions about the patsies
cheating. Thought they should be banned for the playoffs. I love the
guy! Also looked like a sack machine, for a T.
Johnsn is not a superstar, but he is solid. He can catch in traffic.
IIRC most draftnics thought he was a reach in the first round, and he
was. But I think he'd be in the Bills' price range. He's in his prime,
and has talent that hopefully he can still grow into. Berrian has
improved every year, but he'll be too much $. Who cares if he's a deep
threat...speed kills, as the saying goes and he's still bigger than
anybody we have now.
