I'm looking for a larger Steelers helmet poster suitable for display
outdoors. I've looked at the Fathead.com posters but they aren't for
outside display! I've searched ebay and Googled but not had any luck!
Anybody know of anywhere that I can get one? Of course, if somebody wants
to come to the Midwest and paint one on the peak of my barn for free I'll
take that, instead! B-)

sure you can.
I have 2 of the helmets and they hold up great outdoors, unless they
changed the composition in the last 2 years.

I pasted one it onto a sheet of plexiglass and used a jigsaw to remove
the extra material around the edges.
the fathead itself is a thick plastic or nylon material.
I put mine outside for every game and it hasn't degraded one iota in 2
years.

Thanks for the reply! I'm just going by what the fathead website says as
far as outdoor display. You don't leave yours out all the time, do you?
I'm looking for something that's really made for outdoors since I want to
mount it high up on the side of a barn! I'm afraid that outside all the
time even if the material itself was protected by plexi or something the UV
rays would fade it in almost no time.

I only put it out for games, mine hasn't faded... yet, but like any
other color printed sign, I bet it might if left out permanently.

Maybe you could find a UV protective film to cover it with.

I suggest emailing the Fathead people for some ideas.

But I know they make UV film for windows.

If not a poster does anyone know if I can get a large outdoor banner of
either the helmet or just the logo? I figure that I can fasten it to the
barn if nothing else.

BTW, I sure wish that I could afford this guy's work:

If you'll look at the third barn down you'll see a distant shot of something
similar to what I'd like to do!
