Can anyone name any Steelers players (active, retired, etc) with the
last name starting with X or Y or Z?
I looked at the Pittsburgh Steelers groups at
http://www.facebook.com/ and http://www.myspace.com/
Thanks

Come to think of it, has there ever been any player in any sport whose
last name started with X? Has anyone ever known anybody in their entire
lives whose first or last name started with X? If it weren't for porn
flicks the letter would be practically unnecessary.

Only 2 come to mind and one wasn't a given name; it was a "taken" name:

and Malcolm X |

A few come to mind:
Xavier Nady - plays down the street at PNC Park...if you consider the
Buccos to be a professional organization.
Xavier Malisse - a tennis player.
Abel Xavier - plays the *other* football. |

I'd have to question the Deng Xiaoping, but I guess it depends on the
whole "first name, last name" thing. The link that you provided lists
Xiaoping as his last name, and if you go by the order in which they
appear, that is accurate. BUT...by western definition of the family
name, Deng would be his last name.
Deng is his family name, you will notice while in school he adopted
the name Deng Xixian, and his childens' names were Deng Lin, Deng Nan,
Deng Rong,Deng Pufang, and Deng Zhifang (all info in the wiki link).
In traditional Chinese, the family name is first. You always heard Mao
Zedong spoken of as Chairman Mao, they were never so informal to use a
first name basis for their rulers.
I like the "Malcolm X" one though.
Geez, thing are really slow during the off season aren't they?
Right now, for entertainment, I like lurking in the Giants newsgroup
to watch Danny Boy® whine about the officiating in the Super Bowl. A
giants poster actually mentioned the "12 men" call, and last I
checked, Danny hadn't responded to that. |

I forgot that the Chinese surname is their first name. Oops. Yep, it is slow
around here but I'm sure a troll will pop up sooner or later. |

Still hard to gauge the Steelers As for the first two games, you are supposed to beat up on weak teams. |
