No. Notice the guy was a 15 game starter in 2001 and didn't start for NE in
2002 only because Richard Seymour turned out to be a star.

He is a serious threat to split time at NT with Gilbert and may be part of a
legitimate run stopping front along with Gilbert and Cletidus Hunt And Joe
Johnson at end.

If the rookies come on as expected, Rod Walker and Steve Warren will have a
hard time making the team.

This is a move the Packers absolutely needed to make and now makes it
conceivable that the d-line will actually improve over last year in spite of
losing Holliday.

Definitely not. He's a quality every down kind of player. He should
make the roster.

If you don't want Warren, NE will take him. Your welcome to Martin, he was
useless last year.

Have you ever seen him play ......... I mean recently. He's a waste of
roster space. I thought you guys might have learned your lesson with T.
Glenn last year. If he can't play for Belichick why do you think he'd work
out in GB?

Last time I saw him play, he kicked ass. Nobody who has 212 tackles
in 15 games as a TACKLE is a waste.

What is it with Patriots fans not wanting ex-Patriots to succeed anywhere
else? First Terry Glenn and now Martin.

Hey Major Tom, this is ground control .......... last year (2002) he had 13
tackles, 4 assists and no sacks. He was Not injured. I don't care about how
he used to play. He was released on 12/19/02 after demanding more playing
time and a resultant disagreement with Belichick. The only good thing I can
say about GB signing Martin is that they got him for minimal cost - making
him cutable and therefore, a harmless gamble. I think GB is better served
giving playing time to Warren.

Like Ed said, the only reason he didn't start was because of Seymour's
progress. That does NOT mean that he suddenly and inexplicably lost
his ability to play. It means the Patsies simply used him as a
backup, nothing more, nothing less.

If not for Seymour, he would have started and probably done quite
well. Quit acting like a baby just because you hate all ex-Patsies.

Simply Wrong. Seymour played next to Martin. He Did suddenly and
inexplicably lose his ability to play. We had to move a career DE (Hamilton)
to cover his DT position. The failure of Martin to live up to what was
expected of him is a major reason we had trouble stopping the run (31st
overall). Again (we played a 4-3 last year), both Seymour and Martin were
supposed to be on the field together. Unfortunately, Martin, without
exaggeration, stunk - then he became belligerent.

Simply Wrong. Seymour played next to Martin. We had to move a career DE
(Hamilton) to cover his DT position (hurting the DE position as well). The
failure of Martin to live up to what was expected of him is a major reason
we had trouble stopping the run (31st overall). Again (we played a 4-3 last
year), both Seymour and Martin were supposed to be on the field together.
Unfortunately, Martin, without exaggeration, stunk - then he became
belligerent. How nice. He was cut in mid-December for cause.

I don't hate Martin but I'm happy he's gone. Oh yes, as for Glenn .......
thanks for the draft choices and ........ we 'Told You So' ......... You
don't have to agree with me about Martin - your simply getting an informed
opinion.

When a guy is cut on 12/19/02, it's NOT for cap reasons.

Despite Seymour's abilities, SOMEBODY had to play the other tackle spot.
That's why DE Bobby Hamilton played DT and had a lousy year compared to his
prior production at DE.

Packer fans are good fans, but they think every minimum salary camp body
pulled off the garbage heap will become a productive starter.
