"So what they did is continuity-wise, they kept the coaching staff and the
support group and the training group and everybody, so he's in a real solid
[situation]."

Not to mention Vinny becoming the team's true mover and shaker in his new
role. A glorified quarterbacks coach is what he is. How much will he get
away with, of his own stuff, is the new drama to keep in view.

Well, now maybe Zorn will be able to pick his OC.

Zorn will need to win over the coaching staff first and then his players.
He needs to get some early wins. He can't afford the nonsense of hiding his
offense during the preseason as Gibbs and Saunders did (which was a big
mistake). Zorn will need to keep things simple initially and build it up
rapidly as the preseason/season progresses.

I think Zorn is going to have a major issue growing into the roles he's
establishing for himself. Year one will be his hardest test. Hopefully
Snyder will be patient with him.

1. Head Coach - He's got to deal with the big picture. He's got to set the
tone and call the shots. He's also got to do a good job of delegating, but
all the responsibilty falls on him.

Personally, I'd consider 8-8 a success, even though it would be a step
backwards from the past season. As long as the Redskins win five or more
games, I'd want Zorn to remain and coach for another season. The Redskins
need to have some stability.

2. Play calling - He has no experience in this area so this is his biggest
challenge. Hopefully the playbook they come up with is sound.

3. QB coach - He's got lots of experience here and he's one of the best in
the business. The key will be can he connect with Jason Campbell and get
him to buy into the system early. I think Campbell will be more comfortable
with the West Coast Offense as I believe that was were he had the most
success at Auburn.

Newbie I just popped into your group recently. From reading recent posts, particularly the "old timers" thread, it's obvious that some of y'all have been around this group a long time I live on the Pinellas side and have been following the Bucs almost from the

Interesting Google Map Someone posted a link to Google Maps back in March. I have been using it to plan a vacation this summer when I noticed they also had satellite imagery. Here's an interesting one I found:

Norv gave up on his team You do not punt the ball away with over 9 minutes left and down by two scores. You go for it, Norv. That is the difference between winners and losers.
