Whenever I read an article about the coach search, they mention how
the previous three times, the new coach was a suprise and wasn't
someone that anyone knew was a possibility.
We all know about Fassell (.523), Meeks, and Mariucci (.518)...as well
as Carroll (.516) and Cowher (.623).
Here are some other names, by winning percentage, that are out
there...
George Seifert (.648)
Schottenheimer (.613)
Mike Sherman (.594)
Ditka (.560)
Jimmy Johnson (.556)
Denny Green (.546)
Bobby Ross (.540)
Mike Tice (.495)
Dave Wannstedt (.485)
Jim Haslett (.469)

Schottenheimer's newest out, his "when counted on to show" statistic, is
missing...

Ditka might be interesting. His mobility would be cut down with one hand
directing the team and the other firmly on Brandon Lloyds' throat. If he
say's we need Ricky Williams, don't do it.

Here I thought you meant his hip and other joint replacement surgery, which
have made his nickname "Iron" Mike truer than even he could have imagined!

What's needed here is the Iron grip.

Look, there's really only one eligible party; didn't you read Sally Jenkins'

How about Zorn. Amazing. Spurrier had more experience.

You really can't be bitching about a lack of experience and be a big
proponent of Williams. After all, if performance as a head coach
mattered to you, you wouldn't even consider Greg "Never a Winning
Season" Williams.
Neither Zorn nor Williams has proven the ability to win in the NFL.
Williams, however, has proven the ability to lose. He's also proven the
ability on multiple occasions to bring unneeded drama to his team.
As for Spurrier having more experience, not in the NFL he didn't.
