Especially when you click their "Source" and it doesn't say anything
about where Dungy could land.. Either that, or the Baltimore Sun
retracted it.
Just to quote it for the reading impaired Chucky, and GB who will no
doubt quote Chucky as if it was the truth.. Here is the bit from the
Baltimore Sun that Yahoo was attributing as it's "Source":
There has also been growing speculation that Colts assistant head coach
Jim Caldwell - who interviewed with the Ravens eight days ago - might
become the next Colts head coach as early as next season if Tony Dungy
retires. It stems from a report that Dungy's son Eric has enrolled at a
high school in Florida after spending the previous two years at a high
school in Indianapolis. ...

Look for Dungy to replace Kiffin.

IF Dungy retires from coaching the Colts he will walk away from the
NFL for good. He will probably start his prison ministry and most
likely base it out of Tampa where he does enjoy the area and people.
Dungy is not like Parcels and other coaches that have come before and
will come after. He does not have to coach his whole life until he
dies. He wanted ariginally to have a NFL career spanning about 25 yrs.
Right now it is 27yrs. He has accomplished much of what he wanted to
do in the NFL and can easily walk away today and feel good. He does
not have to come back to Tampa and coach again here. Also I doubt that
he would given the way the Glazers booted him out of here.

That is about the best thing you have said on this thread.
The real question is, who will call the shots, Malcom or the Glazer
boys? Maybe Joel?

Not hardly. Like I have stated before, if Dungy leaves football it
will most likely be for good.

Hey -- maybe they were "reading impaired" too and did not see he change
chuck.
The story on Dungy -- IF he decides to leave coaching and join the
Prison Ministry he very likely may move back to Tampa where A. Brown of
that ministry lives. Thats how I read it BUT that does not mean he will
coach here. If he coaches he will stay at Indy where they have offered
him everything but the kitchen-sink to stay, including usage of the
corporate jet to get back and forth as he desires.
His son, Eric, is enrolled in a local high school now.
There have been so many rumors that I may not have the last one -- lol
-- so I may be reading impaired.
How many people in this "greedy" world would give up a millions dollar
job to help those who are in prison to try to re-build their lives?????
And how much better would this world be if the vast majority would take
that view???? He is no "saint" but he just likely may be closer to being
one than those who ridicule him for it. |

Well, the story is that he WILL move back to Tampa as his son is going
to go to HS here. He was reported as to have been looking around at area
HS's for his son.

Not me. But not because I'm greedy. Of course, I'm an atheist, so...

Dungy's a great man. He just wasn't the coach to take the Bucs to the
superbowl, and lord knows he had many chances. |

The rumors have that his son has been enrolled at Plant High School in
order to be ready for spring practices and an eligable member for next
years team.

Odd choice - That's the lily white school in this area. Hillsborough
would have been a far better choice, IMO.
BTW, have you ever seen their home page? It's...

These are good links...

From...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hillsborough_High_School_%28Florida%29
Due to the range and volume of boys and girls team and individual
championships and awards garnered over Hillsborough's 100+ year history,
only dates of state championships and runner-ups, and a listing of the
number of state playoff appearances are presented.
Football (practices and home games played on Marcelino "Chelo" Huerta
Field)
* National Championship: 1929
* State Championships: 1910, 1929, 1942, 194x, 194x, 1948 (13 total
State Championships) +Prior to 1968, the state champions were the winners
of the state's "HSS Big Ten Conference", and included games against some
state universities and colleges such as the University of Florida,
Stetson University, and Rollins College.)[7]
* State Playoff Appearances (since 1968): 15 (most recent: 2007)

Plant has one of the top QBs in the country, rising junior. I'm sure
that was a big factor for selecting a school for a WR. This kid was
raised in Avila, lily white won't make hin feel out of place.

He forgets more football in 1 day than any of us will ever know. What
he failed to mention is that he's had this condition for 20 years now,
or about 7,305 days. Now we know what his problem is...
