I am calling the play The Great Escape. The Catch is already taken.
So, I would go with The Great Escape.

engineered? More a matter of tremendous atheletic skills
seizing on narrow unforseen opportunities - which is the difference between a
winner and a Balachej team that needs
to cheat its way to advantage through spy ops!
I hope Balachej gets tossed in jail for what he has done.
In this case, Eli comes across as almost a David to pro football, and the savior
of the game.

Slip-n-Grip seems to be the most popular amongst the ESPN crowd.

They don't know what to call it.
The Patriots* could not find it anywhere in the sideline films. |

Why on earth does it need a "call"? That is unless you're ESPN and
trying to trademark every sports event as "your call." See also John
"The Naseous Shill" Sterling. I wish he was high, far and gone. It was
a great catch. |

Wikipedia says that the Manning-Tyree play is called "The Play" which
had referred to the Stanford Band return play in college.

Denied based on its source alone.

How about "Miraculous Reception"? Yes, it sounds like Immaculate
Reception, but that is why it is picked.

Here is one that covers both the escape and the catch. It also simply
states it's importance in the history of football.
"THE PLAY" |

The Giants themselves have been refering it as "The Grab".
