This morning Mike and Mike were talking about what Wade Phillips
said. If you missed it, Phillips said after watching the tape he
thinks the better team lost. Of course Mike and Mike were indignant
and didn't want to hear this. Frankly, I think Mike and Mike are
silly baffoons. They like to say the "right" thing but not
necessarily the correct thing.

I think Wade is right. Look at the stats, look at the two wins Dallas
had over the Giants. Ask yourself, did the Giants win or did the
Cowboys lose? The Giants made fewer mistakes and played better on
Sunday. That is an irrefutable fact. But, does that make the Giants
a better team than Dallas? If the Charges pull an upset this Sunday
without LT and Rivers, no matter how unlikely that may be, does that
make them a better team than the Patriots after the Patriots ran the
table? Not in my mind. Any team can have a bad day. How good a team
is cannot be judged on one game.

The Cowboys played about as poorly as they could have played last
Sunday. The penalties, drops, poor clock management, etc. all
contributed to the Giants victory. Many penalties were not forced
errors either. The offsides calls, the hit by Davis on Strahan, the
dropped pass by Crayton, Crayton stopping his route. Despite that,
they were right there at the end. If Crayton had not stopped running
on that fade near the end of the game, he probably catches the game
winning TD.

So let's say he did catch that TD pass. Who would be saying today the
Giants deserved to win the game? No one! On the contrary, they would
point to the time of possession, the yardage differential and the
Cowboys ability to run for 154 yards as benchmarks for how far the
Giants have to go to catch up to the elite teams in the league. Let's
face the facts, the Giants gained only 230 yards all game and only 57
in teh second half of the game!

If you lined these two teams up ten times, how many times would Dallas
win? I am guessing 7 or 8 and that makes them the better team. We
already know if you line them up 3 times, Dallas will win two. That
is also an irrefutable fact.

Of course it did. So you might ask why? We weren't prepared,
disciplined, and didn't execute. In other words, the things where
coaching comes in. A poorly coached team will lose to an inferior but
better coached team all the time.

In the playoffs, with Wade "Bucket O' Chicken Fingers" Phillips
coaching? All of them.

I hope this helps you sleep at night. It won't me. The table was set for
us to get to the Super Bowl. And we let that ship sail, because we
didn't get the job done. This team acted like getting to the playoffs
was the goal, and took the rest of the season off.

And that greasy big Southern dummy spent the last month dismissing all
the concerns brought up to him about how the team was playing. Oaf.

Mike & Mike were right! That was loser talk. But, that is what the
Cowboys are!

I think the definition of loser is someone who trolls in the news
group of an opposing team.

This is a silly game to play. No one actually knows what would happen if
you lined them up ten times. And it doesn't really matter. The Giants
played well when it counted most. Wade's saying that "we're still
better" doesn't mean anything except that he's got no excuses for not
having them ready to win.

How good you are is irrelevant. What matters is what you accomplish. The
Giants are still in the playoffs, hence they have accomplished more than
Dallas.

Not even close. I saw the Buffalo game.

Giants fans, and everyone else who hates Dallas.

Comparing anything but points is loser talk.

That is past performance. If that mattered, Dallas would have won on
Sunday.

Did they ask him if the better coaching staff won? I think it did.
