I won't predict an actual score but I will predict the Roughriders winning
by at least 21 points. They will outwit, outplay and outlast the hapless
Bombers much to the chagrin of that dimwit colorman Chris Walby!

I think it will be close. Anytime people predict a blow out(and most are for
this game) it always turns out to be close.

For the Bombers to have a hope of winning they must:

1) The defence needs to have another big game and keep in the 'Riders
under 20 points.

2) Run the ball about 40 times. Charles Roberts should get 20-25
carries with Fred Reid getting 10-15 and then a few from QB Ryan
Dinwiddie and FB Gilles Lezi.

3) A safe passing game. No doubt any QB must throw the ball deep and
Dinwiddie included. However the Bombers should look to keeping their
passes shorter, looking for the higher percentage passes and with few
opportunities for int's.

4) NO MORE drops by the much vaunted Bomber receiver corps.

In other words a type of ball control offence that the Riders used to
have a few years ago.

For the Roughriders to win they must:

1) The defence nulify the Bomber passing game.

2) Have Kerry Joseph throwing and running.

3) A good mix of runs and passes to keep the powerful Bomber offence
off balance.

4) Avoid a low scoring, defensive game. Scoring 25 points or more
should win them the game.

Good analysis Glen, but watching the BC - Sask game you could see the
passion and determination in the eyes of the Riders. They are so totally
pumped and I just can't see them winning by anything other than a blow-out.
Their loyal fans sure deserve this one. However I wish it was being played
in Regina!

We won't know until they play the game. Teams have been known to be
hot one week and then cold the next. First and foremost I always want
a great game regardless of who wins. Next and of course I want to see
the Bombers win. But I realize they are in very tough. And should the
'Riders win, that fine with me too! IMHO, most CFL fans have 2
favourite teams (except those in Saskatchewan), one is the team they
cheer for and the other is the Saskatchewan Roughriders. I believe
that nearly everyone's second favourite team is the 'Riders.

I predicted a score last week, but I don't know what it was. So I'll
make a new prediction: Saskatchewan 35 Winnipeg 20

Actually , i think that's true. Rider nation lives ! How can you not
love such a rabid fan base in a community owned team from a small
city ?

They are the Green Bay Packers of the CFL.

The Riders also benefit from being the only pro sports team in the
province.

Also take me for instance, unless the Riders are playing against the
Bombers, who do I cheer for in Rider games? The Riders. The team that
struggles with the smallest market and playing in a city I'm sure most
imports never heard of. It's been what, since 2002 since they had a
losing record and 2001 since they missed the playoffs. This is
something of a mini golden era for the Riders.
