If there isn't a radical rupture with mainstream paradigm there's no
hope for the future in 08. People need to get their heads screwed on
straight. We don't need bogus ideas like you hear on Democracy Now!
"This is the greatest country in the world ;You can't do better than
democarcy; We have to protect the American way of life." What we
really have to do is bust people out of looking at the world in this
paralyzing way that does not reflect the truth. Or you hear liberals
say things like "The war is a mistake." When in reality it's an
attempt to preserve this lopsided system of inequality which is
Capitalism. This war comes from the heart, the very roots of globalism
and Capitalism at a particular moment in history. Instead we get
explanations like 'Bush is an idiot, or he's doing it for a few oil
companies or the Israeli lobby.' None of this begins to get at what is
really driving these wars. These wars, in the most fundamental sense,
are based because of this system of global exploitation of markets
resources and labor and forcibly knocking down any impediments to that
exploitation and preventing rivals from doing so. A two generation
war, 40 years, all in service of deepening and continuing US global
domination and power at the expense of millions of people. What kind
of system rejects and brutalizes immigrants, who want to create and
produce things? What kind of system wants to wage a 40 year war for a
resource (oil) which is destroying the planet? This system finds
itself up against big obstacles and challenges at any given moment.
And this war is their big attempt to reshuffle the deck, like World
War II. Bush, Cheney, O'Bama, Edwards, Clinton, they don't just want
to go back and defeat the 1960s, roll back women's rights to abortion,
or civil rights gained in the 1960s. They don't just want to do that.
They don't want to just go back 60 or 70 years and turn back the New
Deal and the welfare state. They want to go back 200 years the
founding of this country as a secular state. OK 200 years that's not
enough? Let's go back 400 years and throw out the Treaty of Westfalia
and the whole idea of International Law. You don't attack somebody who
hasn't attacked you. Let's go back 800 years to the Magnacarta, habeas
corpus, the separations of powers and the right to trial. Let's get
rid of that too. That's how extreme and reactionary this system is.
Again, not Bush the moron, but Bush the extreme personification of
Capitalism in an extreme moment. People talk about US democracy and
elections as if they are somehow floating in the air totally detached
from the economic foundations of this society namely Capitalism.
Somehow it's irrelevant that Bill Gates has 80 million dollars and
we're struggling to pay rent every month. Politics exist on the
foundation of economics. Democrats are standing on that foundation
fighting to maintain this system just the same as Republicans are.
This explains things other explanations don't get at. You hear, "Oh
the Democrats they don't have any spine." They have plenty of spine
when it comes to suppressing the people and fighting for Imperialism.
Or that they're selling out and betraying us. No, they are fighting
for their interests. The problem is their interests are radically
different from humanities. You voted to end the war, you got
escalation instead. This so call democracy is actually a Dictatorship
of a class whose interests are totally the opposite of humanity. The
whole point of the election facade is for you to go along and
legitimize the crimes they are committing. Are any of these
politicians saying it's not right the US controls the Middle East? Are
any of these politicians mentioning or trying to stop torture? I'm so
sick and tired of hearing "The system is broken." What you're seeing
is the system. This is how the system works. Look at it. This is what
Capitalist democracy looks like. Nothing good is going to happen
unless we break out of these confines imposed on us by these
representatives of the ruling class and act in the interests of
humanity and justice. The elections are about people sitting back and
not putting themselves on the line to challenge this. There is a moral
dimensions because if you're not resisting war crimes then you are
complicate in them. You remember the sixties people challenged each
other. It wasn't "I'm OK you're OK." We need to bring forward another
way. The democrats represent Imperialism. You think they are going to
stop being Imperialists or suddenly change?! That's what is totally
unrealistic. It's not like we live in the 1500s, and we don't know how
to heal the sick, feed the poor or give people shelter. What stands in
the way is Capitalism and Imperialism. We need revolution. Anything
else, any other solution, to these monstrous problems and outrages is
ridiculous. That's a vision I want to live for and fight to see.

People have been predicting this for the last 3000 years. It is no different today. Those at the bottom of prestige and power wish to have a radical change in the structure of governments and economies. There is nothing wrong in this but as you get older you see that the only way for radical
change is to do so through the system. Learn your history.

Oh gosh, since I already told you that I am Gregg/Stink why are you two/one getting into such a blather? Does it take a
rocket scientist to see that two posters that always post on the same issue and neither of which use return email
addresses are valid is the same person? So, I have admitted that I am Stink/Gregg and you still try to prove that it is
true??? Well Greg/Sydney, you are just as smart as I thought you were. I guess that you failed to notice the time of
my posts and the obviousness of my bait but YOU saw right through that.

That isn't all you're unaware of.

Because back when I plonked you, you weren't pretending to be another

And it's been rather fun exposing you and your inconsistencies.

Are you referring to Ford's multiple-personality entrances in the
Fantasy Football League ? That was a hoot. Good times. Good times.

Typical of your claims. You know more about everything than everyone. I guess my 35 years of working on data transmission systems just cannot keep up with your expertise. Also, you make this big thing about discovering my true identity because of the path statement, which any network
administrator worth a damn would know was impossible, but that does not stop you and your heroic abilities. So to recap, you discover my true identity using data that does not exist within the protocol on which that data is transferred and you proclaim your findings to this newsgroup. Next, you,
knowing that I am G do NOT me as you have announced that you have done. Third, you fall for the weakest bait without looking at all other exculpatory evidence being completely ignored.

You better look again rocket scientist, at the posts that I made.

LOL

You repeatedly have made this claim but every time you have offered "evidence" I have shot it full of holes, but you continue to maintain the existence of your proof. What is it, your numerologist says it must be so? Your eight-ball? Please share this secret with me.

LMAO

Nope, just you.

>Also, you make this big thing about discovering my true identity because of the path statement

As we've already shown, it was you who made the big deal about the path.

>Next, you, knowing that I am G do NOT me as you have announced that you have done.

I never said I plonked this particular identity of yours. Besides, I will
be unable to continue making you look like a jackass if I plonk it now.

I must have missed all the holes you just shot in the evidence I provided.
You, as usual, provided nothing.
