Yes I did read the book. Am I wrong about the holes in Lott's work?

I haven't actually read his report. Your "lying liar" was what caught my
eye. I would imagine, based on my knowledge of John Lott, that he probably
just did a Google or Lexis Nexis search for his stats. Of course, Al
Franken is no stranger to Google, is he?

Al said he used Lexis Nexis. The problem isn't the source, because I assume
that Lott did a complete search, but whether or not the results mean what he
says they do. Lott didn't control enough variables, and your analysis
makes the exact same mistake that Lott does. You're doing a swell job
of quantifying the variables that you do look at but doing so doesn't
make your results qualitatively better than Lott's.
