Only 2 come to my mind at true contenders:
1985 Bears(18-1)
1989 49ers(17-2)
Both utterly dominated the regular season in terms of point differential and
dominated their respective post-seasons like no other.

I have to somewhat agree. I would take the 85' Bears over the 89'
49ers though. |

A lot of people, including many old-time 49er fans, rate the 1984 49ers
ahead of the 1989 team. '89 had explosive offense but the '84 team
had better defense. Plus the '84 team, while its regular season schedule
was a little on the soft side, crushed three excellent teams in the
playoffs:
In the NFC they beat the Giants and the Bears, the next two Super
Bowl winners.
In the Super Bowl they dominated a highly-touted Miami team led
by Dan Marino who was coming off a then-record 48 TD season.
The '89 team, as good as it was, was dependent on Montana who
was at the peak of his brilliant career. The '84 team was a better
all-around team and might have won the Super Bowl even with a
lesser QB.

I have a lot of their games on tape, and I like the 84 team because
Montana was in his physical prime. While he was brilliant in 1989, he
could move and scramble so much more before his 1986 back injury.

Yeah I wanted to put the '84 Niners in there, but the offense wasn't quite
as flashy as the Rice-era 49ers, and offense sells! |

Yeah but as we have seen, defense wins championships. |

That was my point, although obviously the '89 team also had
a very good defense (just ask the Broncos).

Superbowls. |

When all you adolescents are done playing with your pimples, do a little
research on the 1970s Steelers, the dynasty that won 4 Super Bowls in 6
years, with the only coach that has won 4 Super Bowls (Chuck Noll).
In case you missed it, the fans voted that team the greatest dynasty
ever on FOX's on-line poll last nite after the game.

During the 2007-2008 NFL Season, Senator Specter wrote to NFL
commissioner Roger Goodell concerning the destruction of New
England Patriots Spygate tapes. Questions have been raised about
Senator Specter's relationship with Comcast and their ongoing battle
with the NFL over fees related to the NFL Network. Arlen Specter has
taken $153,600 in campaign contributions from Comcast or those
affiliated with Comcast as employees or through its PAC. The only
firm which has given more money to Specter is the law firm Blank
Rome, LLP, which represents Comcast and which has given Specter
$358,453 although the organization itself did not donate, rather the
money came from the organization's PAC, its individual members
or employees or owners, and those individuals' immediate families.
