Lacking proper equipment is NEVER acceptable, but aren't coroners
supposed to limit themselves to issues of anatomy, physiology and the
like? Aren't there other people assigned to the task of critiquing the
actual events?

This guy definitely seems to have crossed the line.

I think you're thinking of the American definition, which is quite
different.

> This guy definitely seems to have crossed the line.

The story doesn't even make clear whether that was commentary or
part of his official duties. I think it would probably be allowable
as either, but it is the kind of thing people who lead investigations
should comment on. Wouldn't you feel better knowing whether President
Obama was sending poorly-prepared troops to take over the Vatican State?

They are supposed to get deeply and emotionally involved, driving
around, intimidating witnesses, making co-workers vomit, and totally
solve the crime like Quincy.

British coroners have a different job than American coroners.

You're probably right.

They could still take on those Swiss Guard pansies. Even Barack
couldn't decimate our forces THAT completely.

I've never seen Ducky do that.

Okay, maybe once or twice, but not on a regular basis.

Yes, apparently they also have to publicly critique foreign policy and
military decisions.
