Tony Romo is second to Brady in all but one of the categories(and
Favre is 5th or 6th) I am surprised about the completion
percentage. Some of those incompleted passes were the receivers'
fault. Two would've been tds last week and one was dropped by TO that
could've gone for alot of yardage

Up to the Buffalo game, Tony's game was
principally medium-to-long-pass in nature,
and his completion percentage was in the
high 50s. Since then, Jason Garrett switched
Tony to more short passes to go along with
his mid-to-long range game, and his comple-
tion percentage has crept upwards.

The primary area of concern, interceptions,
not that the T.O. interception against Green
Bay was Tony's fault, but most have been.
That's something that can bite a team hard
come playoff time. Troy Aikman, for ex-
ample, was near-perfect on the interception
front come playoff time.

Of course, with such a high interception rate
(3.7%, with 24 QBs having lower intercep-
tion rates), it's amazing that Tony's passer-
rating is so high. That simply reflects Tony's
excellence in all categories other than inter-
ceptions, but still, interceptions are a concern
come playoff time. Then again, with the high-
powered offense that Dallas has, perhaps avoid-
ance of interceptions isn't as critical as it once
was, as Tony has exhibited the characteristic
to bounce back from them in almost every game
this season.
