These last year's pre-season power rankings? They don't read newspapers
and see what happened to the Jets in pre-season this year? Rated
Washington above Minnesota, Minnesota above Cleveland, and what exactly
are they formulating that puts the Steelers up there??? Most sports
groups have better power ratings than this, LOL.

I just saw an ESPN show , hosted by Stuart Scott (with Michael Irvin) where 3
of the four guests picked TB over Tennessee in the Super Bowl. That isn't so
bad, but Stuart picked Miami over Carolina!
Also, the 3 guests picked KC to win the AFC West...so who really knows at this
point what will happen during the season and how things will play out.

Steelers at #4?? I'm a Steelers fan and even I disagree with that. I'd
place them more like 8 (ish).

I think that guy needs to lay off his crack pipe.

Tampa Bay still has a tough division to climb to the top of - New
Orleans is good - and Atlanta is not a total burnout with Vick down, so
could be some surprises. Stay with the champions until someone knocks
them off (amusing how some of the announcers were picking the college
schedule last week - Pittsburgh, or Virginia Tech to win the Big East,
University of Miami because they had to play em on the road to lose at
both places, due to snow)? No way the Panthers or Hokies out-recruited
UM - which doesn't rebuild, just reloads. Hmm......guess they didn't
notice all the speed on that Canes' team, LOL.

But - Philadelphia stands in the way of the Bucs too and St.Louis looks
like they are ready to
bounce back to previous form. Not sure anybody can score on Carolina.

AFC provides all the question marks. Dolphins - as much talent as anyone
- but they don't believe in themselves, consequently, they don't seem to
achieve it all and play Buffalo, New England, Philadelphia and the Jets
in December, the month of their yearly slide. Kansas City looks strong -
Denver with Jake Plummer now installed at QB - and Clinton Portis
running could be a big surprise out there, and the Raiders, old, but
still a strong team, with something to prove.

Tennessee just might be the class of the AFC, Titans stood pat
throughout all the off-season moves and FA, and look strong, and Jeff
Fisher is as good a coach out there, in the Gruden, Butch Davis,
Shanahan class. Pats strong still, made a solid move in response to
their other AFC-East rivals bringing Ted Washington in to clog the
middle against the run. Buffalo beefed up on defense big time so Drew
doesn't have to win it with the long ball all the time, and stuck Willis
McGahee on the heal list (what a luxury, might be sitting on a Barry
Sanders). AFC-East beats each other up so bad that even if two playoff
teams come out of it, and probably will - they don't seem to travel far
in the playoffs, putting Tennessee, Indianapolis, Cleveland, Pittsburgh,
or the AFC-West clubs at a bigger advantage.

I would go with a Tampa Bay or Philadelphia over Tennessee as a
pre-season prediction. If the Falcons can survive long enough for Vick
to make it back to form - they looked liked a Super Bowl team in the
making, and could still be big trouble for anybody.
