Just dumped Lawyer Malloy, to the consternation of most of the players
in the New England locker room - and - just who is sitting there with
salary cap money? Way To Go - Buffalo. Bills GM Tom Donahoe, who is
proving to be a genius at managing the cap - has the money - and grabs
Lawyer Malloy from the Pats almost before he can clean out his locker at
Gillette Stadium.
Opening day, New England at Buffalo, two stellar ex-Patriots, Drew
Bledsoe and now Lawyer Malloy, will go up against their old team.
Meanwhile, Belichek, who is a pretty damn good coach has had a weird
week. He grabs big Ted Washington, in response to everything Miami and
Buffalo have been doing in the off-season to stop the run (big Ted can
clog the middle, but he is way overweight, and can he still take the
pounding on the knees coming off the knee injury?). How many series in a
row can Ted play?
Than they dump Lawyer Malloy ??? I knew in my heart the instant I heard
about it, that Lawyer Malloy was heading straight to Buffalo, no stops,
no collecting for passing GO - back to Drew and the rising Bills, whose
fans just gotta love this. Pats have jump-started Buffalo on the road to
the Super Bowl by about 3-years. Dolfans gotta be pizzed, oh boy is this
good.
Thanx New England, trading us Drew Bledsoe and dumping Lawyer Malloy
into the same division - coaching's biggest NO-NO. I think Buffalo just
cemented a playoff berth, and very possibly a serious run for the
AFC-East title now.
