The book America's next Quarterback" gives interesting insight to what
went on during that draft with Tony Romo and the period he spent on
the Cowboys roster while Parcell's was bringing his has-beens as
starters. Romo won the Walter Peyton award and players who have one
of those tend to do better in the NFL than most Heisman winners

Tony Romo, ranked as worthy of a 5th round
draft pick by general concensus prior to the
2003 draft, made it all the way through with-
out being picked. Thereafter, a little over 3
years on the bench while Parcells/Jones dab-
bled in never-to-be's and once-were's.

The -1- pick worthy of being drafted along
with Romo (Carson Palmer), and the -12-
picks unworthy of being drafted ahead of
Romo in 2003:

I havent laughed this hard since Dwayne Goodrich was "the best shutdown CB
